OSD in the school
More than 200 children of two primary schools in Cambridge, UK, the Fawcett Primary School and Trumpington Meadows Primary School, listened attentively to the Science in the ocean talk presented in the frame of the March Science Week and 2015 Cambridge Science Festival. Micro B3 consortium member Petra revealed fascinating world of diatoms, introduced the OSD Campaign and invited young citizen scientists to take part in the MyOSD project.
Immediate children's response as well as requests for MyOSD sampling kits showed that OSD quickly captured children's imagination.
